Course Description

Managers, supervisors and team leaders have specific responsibilities and duties in relation to occupational health and safety.

This session covers:

  • what health and safety is and its importance in the workplace:
  • an overview of the legal framework
  • the statutory ohs responsibilities for participants
  • key roles and responsibilities
  • safety committees
  • hazard identification
  • assessment and control principles, and
  • risk management principles.
 

Presenter
Jim Babalis 

Jim is a multi-skilled senior lawyer having previously worked in government, private practice as well as a multi-national insurance company. He has acquired extensive experience in workplace relations, insurance, administrative law and complex claims management.

Jim is a strategic thinker and delivers exceptional commercial resolutions for his clients. His clients compliment his passion and strong adherence to ethical responsibilities.

Whilst not at work Jim enjoys the company of his family and friends, enjoys travelling, watching foreign films and reading historical books.
